Your health must be your priority, in this article, we are going to talk about an issue that is very common and nearly 9 out of 10 people are facing it mostly women.

Estrogen or Testerone you might hear of these two names when someone talks about hormonal imbalance. These two are the most important hormones in a human’s body a person may face imbalance because of having too much or too little of either one, a different hormonal imbalance is very common.

Here we are to help you understand in case you have a hormonal imbalance and what should you do if that’s the case.

To live a healthy and active life, you need balanced hormones. Hormones are defined as your body’s messenger and your endocrine system is the messaging system. Hormones are involved in almost every bodily process that includes the sleep cycle, growth, digestion, mood, and metabolism.

The endocrine system of the body is vast and the human body carries so many hormones, so it’s understandable that imbalances of hormones can happen. Moreover, it would be unusual to go through your whole life without going through it.

Insulin is an example of hormones serving as messengers in the human body.

The Pancreas manufactures insulin which serves as a key for your cells. So it’s the insulin that tells the cells to let glucose in so that it can be converted into energy. If there is less insulin in a body than the cell needs there can be hormonal imbalance and this particular imbalance of hormones can lead to diabetes.

There are two types of hormonal imbalances:

  1. Chronic Hormonal Imbalance
  2. Temporary Hormonal Imbalance

Chronic Hormonal Imbalance:

This type of hormonal imbalance harms your health and can have wide-ranging health effects and it can also cause serious damage over time. If a person is going through chronic stress, it may increase cortisol and adrenaline which can cause weight gain, sleep disturbances, and even be associated with cardiovascular disease.

If a human has too little or too high thyroid hormone because of thyroid disorder then that person may go through unexplained weight issues such as gaining or losing weight, feeling cold or other symptoms.

Temporary Hormonal Imbalance:

Occasionally it can be temporary. Puberty and pregnancy are the best examples of this type of hormonal imbalance. Hormones go out of balance because the body is also going through changes.

Symptoms of Hormonal Imbalance:

  • Disturbance in sleeping schedule
  • Excessive hair growth or hair loss
  • Fatigue
  • Dry skin and hair
  • Extreme thirst
  • Slow or rapid heartbeat
  • Anxiety
  • Numbness and tingling in your hands
  • Brittle nails
  • Excessive sweating
  • Moodiness
  • Acne
  • Skin darkening

Treatment of Hormonal imbalance:

Treatment depends on the cause. For example for thyroid, and diabetes, the proper treatment and medications are required by the doctor.

Aside from medical treatment, the physician will recommend a certain lifestyle to follow to have balanced hormones in the body.

The foods from nature that can also help balance your hormones include; apples, almonds, green tea, avocado, flaxseeds, broccoli, and pumpkin seeds. You must add them to your diet if you are going through a hormonal imbalance.

Hormones are complex and powerful chemicals, the sooner you reach out for treatment the sooner you will feel yourself again.

There are certain ways to prevent hormonal imbalances in the body:

  • Getting quality sleep
  • Regular exercise
  • Managing your stress
